Compass Cambodia report - Yesterday, H.E Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism of Cambodia issued a notice that on December 8, KTV, nightclubs, bars, and other places in Cambodia’s provinces and capital will be closed for one day. Among them, owners or managers of restaurants and scenic canteens can't sell alcohol or other alcohol products which will be prohibited on the day.
The above ban is to mourn the death of the former First Prime Minister and former President of the National Assembly Norodom Ranariddh on the 8th December 2021.
It should be mentioned that at 11 am on November 5th, Prince Ranariddh’s body returned from France to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, by a special plane, and was accompanied by Norodom Marie Ranariddh, Prince Ranariddh’s first wife.
