Compass Cambodia report - The Chom Chao underpass and flyover is nearly built, with completion anticipated for March of next year.
On 3 December, Saing Piseth, Director of Phnom Penh's Department of Public Works and Transport, stated that construction work is proceeding to complete the remaining 10% on time.
As several underpass infrastructures have been temporarily put into operation to ease traffic, the crew is speeding up work.
Mr Piseth stated that, while the completion date has been scheduled for March, no date for the inauguration has been determined.
The Chom Chao overpass is being built by the OCIC with a construction expenditure of around US$22 million and a 30-month construction timeframe.
