Compass Cambodia report - The work on drafting a master plan to digitalize Cambodia's public works and transportation sector is progressing well, due to the efforts of a specialist working group of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT).
During a follow-up meeting with relevant officers on October 12, MPWT Secretary of State HE Chhuon stated that the working group has already collected documents, regulations, and other necessary inputs from various government units.
"Collecting all of these critical inputs from diverse industries would assist us in preparing a more complete draft master plan. The feedback will also assist us in addressing issues and finding solutions before we finalize the document," he stated.
The draft master plan is based on the government's Cambodian Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021-2035, which was released in May 2021.
All government agencies and the business sector are urged to modernize and digitize their work processes as part of this program, with the goal of a comprehensive upgrading of the entire economy.
