First Cambodia Tech Expo 2022 is successfully, COMPASS takes opportunity to expand reputation

On November 11, the 2022 Cambodia Tech Expo officially kicked off, bringing together hundreds of exhibitors to showcase new innovative technology and smart products as well as related services and information.

"Cambodia Tech Expo 2022 (CTX 2022)" is Cambodia's largest tech expo and conference, hosted by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) and held at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center from November 11th to 13th. It’s also a side event of the “ 2022 ASEAN Summits and Related Summits”. 

This expo conforms to Cambodia's fourth-generation industrial revolution (IR4.0), showcases the development of domestic technology and digital society, introduces investment opportunities in technology and innovation, encourages and attracts foreign businessmen to set their sights on Cambodia, and is also the path for Cambodia to develop an important part in digital economy.

Cambodia strives for digital transformation by 2035

In order to develop Cambodia's digital economy, the government is currently working to strengthen communication infrastructure, establish key application services, promote the digitization of public affairs, formulate digital regulations and cultivate more ICT talents.

The government's goal is to have 100 percent high-speed internet coverage in urban areas and 70 percent in rural areas by 2025. By 2030, major public services must be digitized, the penetration rate of digital technology in private enterprises must reach 70%, and the ratio of people working in the ICT industry to the employed population must reach 4%. In 2035, Cambodia will complete the "digital transformation", the digital economy will have a certain scale (accounting for 5 to 10% of GDP), establish innovative and savvy enterprises and factories, have specialized technical talents such as big data and artificial intelligence, and have at least one "smart city".
